Software included with Reddwerks pick-to-light solution

Reddwerks Warehouse Performance Management 3.6 Software One key advantage to Reddwerks Pick-to-Light is our complete WPM 3.6 software solution can be leveraged to provide customers with the greatest cost savings. Our WPM 3.6 solution is 100% web-based and provides easy-to-use features expected in the industry’s leading solution along with hundreds of additional features and functions not found in other pick-to-light order processing products.

Pick-to-light workflow highlights

  • Role-based workflows: Multiple workflows and functions can be enabled per user to hide advanced features from new or unskilled workers. Supervisors can limit access to features like serial picking, all picking, and cluster picking. In addition, some users can be given access to advanced features like QC, item transfer, and outs filling while hiding these functions from others.
  • Quick zoning: Supervisors can zone an entire area by entering the number of workers in the line and selecting the metric with which they would like to balance the labor. Rezone at any time or allow the labor to rezone themselves — eliminate issues before they begin.
  • Seven-color accurate: Our workflows leverage the seven colors in our devices to provide clear zone demarcation to prevent cross picks. Our devices provide clear color and text-based signals for cluster picking to eliminate errors typically found when clustering orders to reduce walk time. Lastly, the color can indicate the velocity of the location from which a selector is picking for balanced scorecards.
  • Reduce shipping with real-time cubing: Our solution comes with a cubing service that can cube orders by weight, volume, and/or liquid volume to ensure the proper box is selected for orders during induction and/or during full and split operations. Executives can view reports showing how well each warehouse is cubing its orders to reduce shipping costs.
  • Instantly prime pick lines with multi-start: Our solution can determine which orders can be started in multiple locations in the lines to reduce order dwell time, maintain order cube, and instantly prime the pick lines in the morning. Instead of waiting 30-60 minutes to have your lines fully charged with orders, our multi-start algorithms and workflows start orders instantly in every zone when workers login.
  • Early push detection: Many of our customers choose to enable our early push detection for pick and put systems that monitor containers on the outbound conveyor to detect containers that should have been passed but were accidentally pushed to a takeaway conveyor. When our system detects one of these containers, the remaining picks missing from the container are automatically inducted in the correct zone as a HOT order so the missing units ride out as close to the original container as possible. Our solution can correct mistakes, as detected, in real-time.
  • QC anytime, QC anywhere: Easily identify and route orders to QC based on the selector, product, location, and/or customer order being selected. Setting QC goals across all these dimensions ensure accuracy, accountability, and audit goals are being met each day. For more information on our QC solution, click here.
  • Prevent downtime, maintenance and diagnostics: Our solution includes advanced facility-level diagnostics that can indicate how a 10,000 light facility is operating in real-time from any web browser. Users with proper security can reset zones, reset pick lines, and power cycle devices—all from their desk. In addition, our devices offer advanced firmware updates that can update 10,000 devices in less than 5 minutes without our support staff setting foot into your facility. Lastly, our server tracks each time a device is replaced from the system with a reason code so you and Reddwerks can track the durability and performance of the system year after year.

Advanced capabilities

  • Pick-to-light / RF mobile pick / voice pick: Our solution allows you to intermix technologies in the same pick line and area. An order can start with PTL, be passed to an RF area and then passed back into a PTL area. Orders in the same zone can even be processed with different technologies, providing flexibility and redundancy.
  • Mobile platform: Customers can also choose to leverage our Mobile Platform with their PTL solution. Our Mobile Platform creates even more possible cost savings and optimizations by streamlining other related activities like stocking, QC, and palletizing. Our mobile platform offers RF-based selection, voice selection, stocking, mobile open and blind QC, as well as palletizing and utility features. • Eliminate shorts and holds with stocking: A key differentiator of our PTL solution is that it can ensure increased rates and reduced shorts by proactively balancing the order demand with the supply of inventory in the flow rack. Our solution comes with a stocking module that directs, optimizes, and audits stocking activities in the back of the flow rack to ensure product is where it needs to be when orders are moving down the lines. Our solution dynamically reacts to changes in order priority and inventory updates made to each location. For more information about our stocking capabilities click here.
  • Analytics & reporting: Our PTL solution leads the industry with the industry’s first real-time data mart for operations and logistics performance data. Reddwerks WPM comes out of the box with hundreds of user-configurable reports and metrics that provide the insights needed to managed your operations. Rates, events, and errors are mapped to workers in real time, allowing correction before they become significant problems. • Eliminate pre-printed labels with mobile printing: Our solution is 100% compatible with multiple mobile printing solutions—freeing customers from pre-printed labels. Use mobile printing with PTL, voice picking, and RF workflows.
  • Eliminate pre-printed labels with print-and-apply: Our solution includes an optional print-and-apply module that integrates into the PTL system to label outbound containers, detect early pushes, and sense exception cases that need to be routed to QC.
