Reddwerks Acquires SeayCo, Provider of Advanced WCS and Sortation Software
AUSTIN, Texas – July 20, 2009 – Reddwerks Corporation, a leading provider of warehouse performance
management (WPM) software and solutions, today announced the completion
of its acquisition of SeayCo, an 18-year-old Atlanta, GA based developer
of advanced warehouse control systems (WCS) and sortation software with
over 200 customer sites in the US and Canada. The acquisition of SeayCo
will greatly accelerate the Reddwerks WPM software product roadmap and
extend its reach to complex conveyors and sorters found in large-scale
distribution facilities.
“We are major users of Reddwerks and SeayCo software and look forward to
seeing SeayCo’s advanced WCS and sortation functionality being
integrated into Reddwerks’ state-of-the-art WPM software,” said Mr.
Cortney Hunt, Director of Corporate Logistics at McLane Company, Inc.
“We especially look forward to seeing this functionality combined with
Reddwerks’ real-time reporting engine allowing us to view the
productivity of our facilities across all our people and systems.”
“Reddwerks’ leading-edge WPM software represents the next step in the
technological evolution of conveyor controls and sortation, and I am
excited to offer users a combined Reddwerks/SeayCo solution for
unmatched end-to-end order processing in the warehouse,” said Mr. Tim
Krisher, Founder and President of SeayCo who was named VP and Solution
Architect at Reddwerks. Mr. Krisher will play a key role in the design
and sale of the advanced WCS functionality being embedded in the
Reddwerks WPM software.
“Distribution facilities no longer have to solve today’s production
issues using tomorrow’s batch reports,” said Mr. Jean Bélanger,
Reddwerks Founder and CEO. “With the market’s most sophisticated
real-time warehouse business intelligence and reporting engine
delivering key metrics across job functions and equipment performance,
Reddwerks WPM software maximizes throughput and accuracy with the lowest
possible operating expenses.”
Whether it is consumers ordering products online, or retailers stocking
their store shelves, Reddwerks WPM software coordinates all the tasks to
process these orders in large-scale distribution centers. These
facilities range in size from 10,000 to more than 1,000,000 square feet
with hundreds of workers and vast arrays of material handling equipment
such as conveyors and sorters. Reddwerks WPM simplifies interaction with
supply chain management (SCM) and warehouse management system (WMS)
software by providing a single interface for all labor and equipment
deployed in large-scale distribution facilities. Regardless of the SCM
or WMS software installed at a facility, Reddwerks WPM increases
productivity to such an extent that clients typically realize a payback
in less than one year. Reddwerks WPM software provides flexible and
real-time labor management, order planning, profiling, cubing, picking,
quality control, packing, stocking, palletizing, and shipping workflows
combined with powerful real-time analytics, metrics, and dashboard
reports.
A key advantage of Reddwerks WPM software is that any material handling
equipment type, whether human or machine directed, can be interchanged
within a workflow. In addition, Reddwerks WPM software provides the
market’s only real-time business intelligence engine delivering hundreds
of metrics across each job function into a built-in data warehouse for
reporting and analysis. The result couples automation with real-time
control and transparency for your equipment, labor, facility throughput,
and order quality that unlocks the full potential of the distribution
facility.
Reddwerks’ 24×7 support center, online portal and expert teams will be
available for both Reddwerks and SeayCo support clients. In addition to
Mr. Krisher, the company will retain key SeayCo customer support and
development resources to ensure continued success with the SeayCo
product line and services teams. The combined R&D team will continue
Reddwerks’ focus on improving the highly successful and market-proven
WPM software with the 4.0 version scheduled for completion in the first
half of 2010. This upcoming release, as well as a now 250-site strong
install base, puts Reddwerks in a leading position to continue defining
the new and expanding WPM market.
