Reddwerks Corporation Now Shipping Reddwerks v3.0 WPM Software

AUSTIN, Texas - April 20, 2008 - Today Reddwerks® announced, in conjunction with the major industry trade show NA08 sponsored by the Material Handling Industry of America in Cleveland OH, that it is shipping and deploying Reddwerks v3.0 of its industry-leading warehouse performance management (WPM) software.

Reddwerks v3.0 provides warehouses with a single order-filling solution independent of picking technology. Reddwerks v3.0 eliminates the need to have separate software applications for pick-to-light (PTL) systems, RF bar code scanning devices, voice-assisted devices, carousel systems, QA stations, print and apply applications, and conveyor controls.

Reddwerks v3.0 not only eliminates the need for disparate software applications in the warehouse, it allows multi-mode order processing. In multi-mode processing, all of the major systems currently being used—PTL, voice, RF bar code scanning, and carousels—can be seamlessly used together to most efficiently process orders. For instance, order selectors can pick hot orders using RF bar code scanning in a pick line with pick-to-light working at the same time.

Reddwerks v3.0 extends the concept of warehouse order processing to include replenishment of forward inventory and our new "process to ship" functionality. One of the biggest challenges in warehouse order processing is preventing shortages in flow racks and forward inventory. Reddwerks v3.0 eliminates this problem. Our system matches orders being processed to inventory levels and automatically sends alerts to the warehouse management system (WMS) software to move stock out of reserve inventory before it is needed for order processing. For customers with tight shipping constraints, Reddwerks can now process orders based on their movement through shipping: if orders must arrive in shipping in a specific sequence, Reddwerks can arrange order processing to achieve this. They can then be put on pallets using the Reddwerks system.

Reddwerks software is called warehouse performance management because we allow for seamless end-to-end order processing, and wrap our functionality with the industry's most sophisticated business intelligence and analytics capabilities. Every scan, divert and PTL button push is captured in our online analytics processing database. We can report all labor and other productivity metrics in reports and dashboards within 60 seconds of actual event times on an as-needed basis. In addition, because we use standard industry schema for storing data, customers can use industry-leading applications such as Cognos or Oracle Business Intelligence tools to supplement the reporting capabilities built into Reddwerks v3.0.

"Reddwerks v3.0 release is the culmination of years of effort and we are elated to demonstrate it to the logistics and supply chain community," said Jean Bélanger, Founder/CEO of Reddwerks. "With our ability to reduce inventory shortages, optimize order processing and eliminate shipping-related bottlenecks, we believe we have developed and deployed a truly seamless and end-to-end order processing system that maximizes warehouse performance. Our goal is to increase throughput and minimize costs. By managing all of these functions, we believe that our customers can see a return on their investment in our system in less than one year. In the current economic climate, this is more important than ever."

Reddwerks v3.0 began shipping in Q1/2008 and is already in use at several customer sites. The software will be exhibited at NA08 from April 21st to April 24th, 2008 at Cleveland's International Exhibition Center.
